Home teams, especially home dogs have not gotten it done this year. This is a week when I think too many players and/or the public begin to think that plays are too easy. It is time for a reality check.
There are three home dogs this week that I like ...Jacksonvile, Cincinnati and San Diego. I expect two of three to win outright and thus cover the number. Of course the home dog on Monday night is always potent, although 0-2 this year. My big upset is Jacksonville over Tennessee. They should have, could have beaten Miami two weeks ago and tney get Tennessee off off the win at Carolina.
Speaking of Carloina, I know they were a popular up and coming team this year with a good defense, but things take time. Tennnessee exposed them last week and it continues with a team the public has written off this week, New Orleans.
Also the Giants were a pre season favorite in some places. The Vikes although much improved are playing over their heads. The Giants keep this close.
Houston hangs with the Colts. The double digit dog has already proven they can play with most teams on a week to week basis.
Two more home favorites that are not getting much love, Pittsburgh and Tampa. These teams were picked for the Big Game by many but have stuggled. Pitt finds their rhythm at home against Saint Louise and the Bucs bring Dallas back to earth.
Whether you agree or not with these plays, i simply say, be warned...this NFL Sunday could be ugly.
My plays for this year in the NFL are 7-4...this week:
Jacksonville +4.5
Houston +13
San Diego +3
New Orleans -1.5
NY Giants +6
Cincinnati +3
Best of luck
